Hugh Freeze was introduced as Auburn’s next head coach Monday afternoon and is already fielding questions about the Iron Bowl and his plans against Alabama moving forward.
Of course, the former Ole Miss coach has seen his share of success against the Tice and head coach Nick Saban. He’s a proven winner at each school he has coached at.
And they’ll be expecting him to beat Alabama within a few years at Auburn. He addressed that reality Tuesday.
Hugh Freeze said he has tremendous respect for Nick Saban and added that Saban and his wife Terry have been great friends. โBut I hope theyโre a little nervous today.โ

That’s the right thing to say in an introductory press conference at Auburn. Whether or not he can put it to the field is another question entirely.
