The Auburn Tigers had to play without forwards Austin Wiley and Danjel Purifoy this season, but still managed to win a share of the SEC regular-season title.

Still, having that extra depth would have helped the Tigers, especially after F Anfernee McLemore went down with a season-ending injury late in the year.

We still don’t know what Wiley’s status will be, but he’s reportedly decided to enter the NBA Draft process. However, the NCAA ruled on Tuesday that Purifoy can return to the court after missing 30 percent of the 2018-19 season:

Purifoy was implicated in the FBI investigation, which obviously led to Auburn assistant Chuck Person’s arrest. However, he’s now been cleared to return, which will be a big boost to Auburn’s 2018-19 campaign.

In his freshman year, Purifoy averaged 11.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, so getting him back would likely keep the Tigers near the top of the SEC standings for another year.
