Former Auburn running back Peyton Barber has been cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After rushing for 1,017 yards and 13 touchdowns as a redshirt sophomore in 2015, Barber decided to leave early and declared for the 2016 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, he went undrafted, and was picked up by Tampa Bay as a free agent not long after.

Barber got plenty of action this preseason, but only gained 99 yards on 39 attempts (2.5 ypc).

The Georgia native could be a candidate for a spot on the Buccaneers’ practice squad if he isn’t picked up by another team.
