The Auburn game against Oregon this week is widely viewed as the best of the weekend. In one game, it will serve as a barometer for the cream of the Pac-12 crop, a referendum on Gus Malzahn’s choice of freshman Bo Nix as starting quarterback, and the Tigers prospects for the season.

This hype video, courtesy of Flash Highlights on YouTube, captures much of the dramatic opening of the season. It will bring back memories for some of the 2011 national championship game. The game is set for 7:30 p.m. ET at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas and on ABC. Auburn is currently about a three-point favorite in the game.

Oregon was a slight pick to win the Pac-12 North in the annual preseason media poll after it beat out rival Washington.

Along with Nix, fans will watch Oregon QB Justin Herbert, who briefly flirted with the NFL Draft last year before he returned to campus. Herbert is widely seen as a top QB prospect for next year’s NFL Draft, and this will be the first time many fans on the East Coast can get a glimpse of him.

Auburn fans, meanwhile, will pay close attention to how Malzahn reclaims the play-calling duties after he gave them up after the 2016 season.
