The NCAA bracket is out for this year’s NCAA Tournament in baseball, and a total of 8 SEC teams were chosen as regional hosts for the 2023 tournament. It’s the first time in history that one conference has produced 8 regional hosts for the NCAA Tournament.

The conference was led by Florida and Arkansas, which secured top 4 seeds at No. 2 and No. 3. Florida has been a national seed in 10 of 15 years under Kevin O’Sullivan. They have hosted a regional in 13 of those 15 years. LSU is the No. 5 seed, and will begin the Baton Rouge Regional against Tulane, which had an improbable run despite a 19-40 record. Vanderbilt is the No. 6 seed.

SEC regional hosts are Florida, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, LSU, Alabama and South Carolina.

Alabama, a 16th seed, will take on Nicholls to begin the Tuscaloosa Regional. Texas A&M will meet Cal State Fullerton in the Stanford Regional. Kentucky, a 12th seed, will meet Ball State in the Lexington Regional. In the Auburn Regional, the 13th-seeded Tigers will take on Penn.

Tennessee will begin against Charlotte in the Clemson Regional. The Gators will take on Florida A&M to open the Gainesville Regional. The 15th-seeded Gamecocks in the Columbia Regional will tangle with Central Connecticut State.

In the Nashville Regional, 6th-seeded Vanderbilt will meet Eastern Illinois.

Arkansas will meet Santa Clara in the Fayetteville Regional.

Ole Miss won the 2022 College World Series in 2 games over Oklahoma.
