Another weekend of the 2023-24 SEC basketball season in the books, and Alabama is still the top team in the conference.

The Crimson Tide took care of business against Texas A&M on Saturday to improve to 10-2, the best record in SEC play. Nate Oats’ squad got a boost with a pep talk from Nick Saban.

Many teams have been gunning to take the top spot from Bama in recent weeks. Like Alabama, Tennessee is on a 2-game winning streak. The Vols are 1 game back in the standings, which can be viewed below:

  • Alabama – 10-2 SEC (18-7 overall)
  • Tennessee  – 9-3 (19-6)
  • South Carolina – 9-4 (21-5)
  • Auburn – 9-4 (20-6)
  • Florida – 8-4 (18-7)
  • Kentucky – 8-4 (18-7)
  • Ole Miss – 6-6 (19-6)
  • Mississippi State – 6-6 (17-8)
  • Texas A&M – 6-6 (15-10)
  • LSU – 5-7 (13-12)
  • Georgia – 4-8 (14-11)
  • Arkansas – 3-9 (12-13)
  • Vanderbilt – 2-10 (7-18)
  • Missouri – 0-12 (8-17)

Down the stretch, it’s looking like a 6-team race for the regular-season title. South Carolina, Auburn, Florida and Kentucky are all just 2 games behind Alabama in the loss column. Todd Golden’s Gators will travel to Tuscaloosa on Wednesday to take on the Tide in Coleman Coliseum.

Only four teams will be receiving the coveted double-bye in the SEC Basketball Tournament. The teams finishing fifth and sixth will have to play on Day 2. The opening round is made up of the bottom four seeds.

Saturday will feature all 14 conference teams in action. No. 15 Alabama at No. 22 Kentucky at 4 p.m. ET with CBS national coverage headlines the SEC weekend slate.
