Conference realignment: Conference USA reportedly ‘in negotiations’ with 3 teams

Once Texas and Oklahoma announced their moves to the SEC, the latest round of conference realignment was on. Moves by the Big 12, American Athletic Conference and Sun Belt Conference soon followed, leaving Conference USA as one of the “losers” of realignment.
Down to 6 committed members after recent departures for the AAC, C-USA is looking to add new members. Chris Vannini of The Ahtletic reports, per a source, that C-USA is currently in negotiations with UConn, New Mexico State and Liberty.

The report states UConn would be a football-only member while NMSU and Liberty would be all sports members. All 3 schools are FBS in football.
