Jim Harbaugh to the Chargers: Reaction pours in from fans, media
Jim Harbaugh’s decision to leave Michigan for the NFL’s Los Angeles Chargers has seemingly the entire football world talking. As one would expect, there are a wide range of reactions.
Chargers fans are excited about bringing Harbaugh back to the franchise, now with the opportunity to work with Justin Herbert. Michigan fans are appreciative of his contributions, especially the College Football Playoff National Championship, but there are some tough feelings about seeing Harbaugh leave instead of signing an extension.
As with any major program, there is some rivalry salt. The NCAA investigations facing Harbaugh and the Wolverines for COVID-era recruiting violations and a sign-stealing operation for in-person scouting were also brought up.

Harbaugh choose the smart but easy way out
Could have stayed to build upon the title
Could have stayed to fight “allegations” & owned the NCAA
Could have stayed to fight for the players he said aren’t compensated properly.
He choose himself & the easy path
Understandable

The thing I will remember about Jim Harbaugh’s tenure is that it pretty much stunk six years in.
The whole thing changed in Years 7-9. Nobody else like that in modern times at this level. Last was Bill McCartney at Colorado: 7 bad/meh years followed by a national title run

I couldn’t be happier for how Jim went out
He brought us what we wanted, a national title.
Good luck, and thank you Jim Harbaugh.
