I had us worst case going 6-6, if we can get a few of those surprise victories I could see the Hogs getting 9 wins this year. Having that experience at QB is huge plus, I hope we do shock the west.
If he stays, HCBB is shortening his tenure in Fayetteville... We need a new DC and a special teams coach.
I'd take him on my flag football team then... Or if he's afraid the hits would hurt, he could go play in the B1G so he'd be safe.
Really? I mean Texas went from unranked to #10 for beating Notre Dame in 2OT, but the Hogs can't crack the top 25?
I wish that athletes didn't get such high profile stories prior to playing a single college football game. it sucks that we've created this culture where they feel they have to announce every single thing that they do. Get your degree for free and quit being a prima donna.
I believe the term you are searching for is, "Fair Weather Fan".
I felt like the hyperbole was there to drive to point home. My response had less to do with Vanderbilt, but more to do with the strength of schedule. But I do believe that our bottom tier teams of the SEC would fair better in almost any other conference if you were swap their elite with our bottom.
They still don't get it. It's not that the SEC is impervious to losses, it's that it's incredibly difficult to come out of a season unscathed because of the level of competition in the conference. Can Wisconsin beat LSU? Sure. Could they go undefeated in the west? I doubt it. Also, Notre Dame and Oklahoma prove the point even moreso. The Mississippi State game was just poor game management from the coaches, Arkansas got lucky against a well coached La. Tech team. Tennessee beat a team that was 11-2 last year and won their bowl game. There are a few, but not many, cupcakes in college football. I would love for Ohio State and Vandy to swap conferences for a year. I don't think Ohio State would survive their schedule, and Vandy would probably be in the top 3 of the B1G. No one said SEC was unbeatable, but if you think your team could come to the SEC and dominate, keep dreaming.
