Hahaha. No, thanks. We don't want Cam Cameron. We like a pro-style offense not a "no-style" offense.
I like the idea. Just haven't seen much from him. Houston was dominate in the conference before he showed up and we know how good Urban Meyer is with or without him. Sure, they were better with him but I just don't know enough about him to say I like him to take over the program. I don't like Kirby Smart either though. He scares me.
I don't like Brian Kelly. But I do like his defensive coordinator. I like Pruitt but I loved van gorder when we had him. David Shaw would be an interesting hire. Jimbo would also be interesting.
I mean for offensive coordinator not head coach.
Jedd Fisch is someone I'm just learning about. He could be a nice hire. I like his resume.
I agree. He is responsible for his hires. I wonder if anyone has looked at Jedd Fisch. As far as I'm concerned, our defense and defensive coordinator are good. We just need an offense to go with it. I'm not at all impressed with Schottenheimer.
I like Whittingham, Fuente, and Patterson. I'm not sure Patterson would leave TCU. I don't like Chip Kelly at all for Georgia. I love our pro-style brand of offense! I would even look at Nussmeier. I wanted him over Shotty for our offensive coordinator. We need someone who can put together a great coaching staff and develop our talent to the best of their abilities and demand it from them. That is one reason why I like Patterson. The truth is UGA would have their pick of the pack. With that being said, I don't believe there is any way certain coaches would leave their current situations.
Defense: without much help from the offense. It gets a lot harder when they are on the field the entire game. Our defense is a lot better when our offense has some success.
It's going to take our entire rushing play book to run on Bama. They're fast, smart, and disciplined. The speed and ability to read where the ball is going is what makes it so hard to run to the outside on Bama. I think we have a better shot with our offensive line running counters and isolation. Sweeps may work some but we won't be able to do a lot them. Their linebackers are way to fast and good at reading offenses. A hat on a hat and trusting our backs to find the open space is our best option, I believe. I don't expect chubb to have 8 yds/carry but I do expect him to get 100 yds or more. If we stay balanced in everything we do, we can beat them and beat them convincingly.
I agree. It would change the dynamic of which schools would be on this list. I don't believe it would change which SEC schools would make it on this list. Tennessee is the only other SEC school I could see getting ranked higher with their sciences dept. But that doesn't guarantee they would make the list. There are a lot of good Engineering and Technology programs in the south. And most of those schools were not on this list.
Defense's the top player is different from team to team.
Pay isn't always the best indicator of importance. A lot of that has to do with need, ability, and negotiation. We can agree to disagree though.
LSU has a very talented team, and they will do well. I do not believe they will have the quarterback play to do any better than 9 wins though. Too tough of a schedule without a good field general. And that's one thing yall struggle with every year. Recruit a couple of pro-style quarterbacks and yall would do much better!
How is the tackle position the most important OL position? I know it's important, but center is most important OL then it's the guards then it's the tackles. Think about it, what's more important than the only person who touches the ball every down on offense.
I'm confused by this comment as well. Both are great winning coaches and each have won a national championship without the other.
How can Auburn win the SEC Championship if Alabama wins the West? That doesn't make sense.
