Anthony Richardson has had an unlucky start to his NFL career. The former Florida Gator has performed well when on the field, but a couple of injuries have derailed his promising start.

The rookie QB for the Indianapolis Colts first dealt with a concussion and then left the game against the Tennessee Titans in Week 5 with what appeared to be a shoulder injury. The QB left the game shortly before halftime and did not return.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the QB is believed to have suffered a sprained AC joint. This is just the latest injury scare for the athletic QB.

In his NFL debut, the rookie took a hit to his knee and was removed from the game for the final few plays. Then, in Week 2, Richardson suffered a concussion and missed the rest of that game and the next game in Week 3.

Counting Sunday’s game, Richardson has played in just 12 of 20 possible quarters for the Colts this season. When playing, Richardson has been impressive. The rookie has accumulated 577 passing yards with 3 TDs and just 1 INT. Richardson has also rushed 25 times for 136 yards and 4 TDs on the ground.

In 2022 for the Florida Gators, Richardson played in all 12 games. The QB threw for 2,549 yards with 17 TDs and 9 INTs in his last college season.
