Damieon George Jr., a former 3-star offensive lineman from Houston who committed to Alabama as part of the Crimson Tide’s 2019 recruiting class, entered the NCAA transfer portal back in November.

Now the former Crimson Tide lineman is switching divisions in the SEC, going from the West to the East.

As you can see below, George took to Twitter on Monday afternoon to reveal he was committing to the Florida Gators and coach Billy Napier:

George will have 2 years of eligibility remaining for the Gators. George appeared in 2 games for the Tide in 2022, playing against Utah State and Texas. In 2021, he played in 12 games and made 3 starts late in the year.

Will he earn a starting job at Florida? The Gators will have some spots open he can compete for in 2023.
