Florida hired former Louisiana coach Billy Napier to replace Dan Mullen this offseason, and now, several assistants and players have followed Napier from Louisiana to Gainesville.
On Thursday, the Gators added a running back from the Ragin’ Cajuns who is coming off a productive freshman year.
As you can see below, Montrell Johnson Jr. took to Twitter on Thursday to reveal he was heading to Florida to rejoin his former coach:

Johnson ran for 838 yards in 2021 and had 12 touchdowns. He also added 6 catches for 53 yards as a receiver.
We’ll see what kind of role Johnson is able to carve out for himself in Gainesville, but it’s clear Napier trusts him to carry the ball quite a bit.
