Lorenzo Lingard will look at continuing his college football career after 3 seasons at Florida.

The 5th-year running back is entering the NCAA transfer portal for the second time in his college career.

Lingard will be taking advantage of the NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver to play a sixth season of college football. A former 5-star recruit, Lingard signed with the Miami Hurricanes as part of UM’s 2018 recruiting class.

After 2 seasons at Miami, Lingard transferred to Florida. Lingard received an NCAA waiver to be eligible to play in 2020.

With the Gators, Lingard appeared in 32 games over 3 seasons. He logged just 26 carries in his time at UF, rushing for 150 yards. This season, Lingard rushed 10 times for 75 yards and a TD, with a long of 20 yards.

Lingard injured his leg midway through the 2018 season, his true freshman year at Miami. In 2019, he played in 2 games and redshirted.
