Florida reportedly down 2 tight ends due to injury for rest of spring practices
Florida is in the midst of Billy Napier’s first spring practice session as the program’s head coach, and already, the tight end room is getting thin.
Per a report from 247Sports on Sunday afternoon, a pair of young Florida tight ends will be out for the rest of the spring.
Here’s what the report says about their upper body injuries:
Florida redshirt freshman tight end Nick Elksnis and sophomore tight end Jonathan Odom will miss the remainder of the Gators’ spring practices due to a broken scapula and torn labrum, respectively, a source directly familiar with the development told Swamp247 on Sunday afternoon.
That leaves the Gators with Keon Zipperer and Gage Wilcox, a senior and a redshirt freshman, respectively, as the only healthy scholarship tight ends. We’ll see how those 2 guys fare the rest of the spring session.
