A second Florida Gators starter is leaving early to enter the NFL Draft. RT Jawaan Taylor announced Saturday that he is foregoing his senior season to go pro.

Taylor thanked both his UF head coaches (Jim McElwain and Dan Mullen), all three of his position coaches (Mike Summers, Brad Davis and John Hevesy) as well as former offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier in the note you can see below.

Florida’s offensive line showed marked improvement under Mullen and Hevesy, allowing only 15 sacks in the regular season (down from 37) and paving the way for more rushing yards (2,514 yards, up from 1,720). Hevesy will have his work cut out for him with Florida replacing both starting tackles (Taylor and senior LT Martez Ivey).

Taylor made the announcement via his Twitter account hours after Florida’s 41-15 Peach Bowl win over Michigan. He has been projected as a potential first-round pick in mock drafts.
