Florida will head to Tennessee intent on winning its 12th-straight game against the Volunteers, and it remains uncertain as to whether or not the Gators will have their top playmaker available when they do so.

Jim McElwain provided an update on star wide receiver Antonio Callaway while speaking with the media after Wednesday’s practice, and his status is still up in the air.

“I don’t know if he’ll be able to play or not,” McElwain said after practice, according to the Orlando Sentinel. “The guy’s got to be able to go. And I’m going to go back, and I hate repeating myself, I will never play a guy that’s not ready to play. That’s just not fair to that person. That’s how much I care about our players. I’m not going to put a guy out there on half a leg.”

Callaway suffered a quad injury in Florida’s win against Kentucky.
