Just over a week out from facing Miami, Florida reportedly has two starters dealing with fall camp injuries. Thomas Goldkamp of Swamp247 reported Wednesday that RT Jean Delance is dealing with a leg injury while NT Kyree Campbell is day-to-day with a groin injury. The severity of Delance’s injury is unknown, but Goldkamp reported that the redshirt junior was seen using crutches.

If Delance, a transfer from Texas, is out for the Week 0 game in Orlando, the Gators will likely have to turn to someone with limited experience. Behind Delance at right tackle are redshirt sophomore T.J. Moore and true freshman Michael Tarquin. Moore, who profiled as a 4-star guard when he committed to the Jim McElwain staff as a 2017 prospect, has appeared in just two games during his Gators career. Tarquin, who enrolled at UF in January, was a 4-star offensive tackle for the 2019 class, recruited and signed by the Mullen staff.

Another option for Mullen and offensive line coach John Hevesy is to move starting LT Stone Forsythe over to right tackle, where he has experience, and start redshirt freshman Richard Gouraige at left tackle. Gouraige first committed to the McElwain staff in October 2017, but went on to sign with Florida after the Mullen hire when National Signing Day came around in February 2018. Gouraige played in two games for the Gators last season and redshirted, taking advantage of the change in NCAA policy.
