Roderick Kearney is a 4-star recruit from the class of 2023, with the Orange Park (Fla.) standout considered by 247Sports’ Composite Ranking as the No. 4 interior offensive lineman in the country and the No. 28 player in the state.

Kearney on June 26 committed to Florida State. Less than 4 months later, though, he has flipped his commitment and instead will play for Billy Napier at Florida, he announced on Monday.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pounder is the 22nd commitment for Napier in the 2023 class and the 3rd offensive lineman, joining IMG Academy’s Knijeah Harris and Rockledge (Fla.)’s Bryce Lovett. He is also currently the 4th-highest ranked recruit in the cycle for the Gators, who are currently in the top 10 nationally according to 247Sports. Florida last finished inside the top 10 in recruiting in 2020, when it landed the country’s 7th-ranked class.
