Florida got some great news on Monday as Van Jefferson has been granted a waiver by the SEC to play for the Gators this season. This was the final hurdle necessary for Jefferson to clear before hitting the field for the coming season.

The NCAA had previously announced Jefferson was eligible for the Gators but he still required a waiver from the SEC. Jefferson competed for Ole Miss last season and transferred this offseason after the NCAA permitted Rebel players to leave without forcing them to sit out the season.

During his Ole Miss career, Jefferson caught 91 passes for 999 yards and four touchdowns.
