Billy Napier’s Florida staff is having a big day on the recruiting trail adding to the Gators’ 2024 recruiting class. Hours after a Saturday afternoon pledge from 4-star ATH Amir Jackson, UF landed 2 more blue-chip commitments.

The second commitment of the day came from Amaris Williams, a 4-star defensive lineman out of Clinton (North Carolina). The 6-3, 270-pound Williams is rated 4-stars, the No. 4 North Carolina recruit, No. 23 defensive lineman and No. 186 prospect overall on the 247Sports Composite. Williams has picked up 21 scholarship offers during his recruitment.

Dublin (Georgia) defensive lineman Nasir Johnson was the 3rd commitment of the day for Florida. Johnson, listed at over 6-4 and 300 pounds, has 17 scholarship offers. He is rated 4-stars, the No. 30 defensive lineman, No. 31 Peach State recruit and No. 250 prospect overall on the 247Sports Composite.

With Williams and Johnson on board, UF now has 12 commitments in its 2024 recruiting class, which ranks No. 8 on the Composite. The new commitments have been welcomed news for Gator fans who were stunned by QB pledge Austin Simmons’ flip to Ole Miss earlier Saturday.
