Urban Meyer is officially back at FOX. The former Florida coach is returning to the Big Noon Kickoff pregame show, his last gig before taking the Jacksonville Jaguars job.

Big Noon Kickoff is FOX’s pregame show for its Big Noon Saturday showcase game. Meyer reunites with Rob Stone, Brady Quinn, Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart. FOX Sports PR announcement states that the show will be traveling each week of the season for the first time ever.

During an April appearance on The Tim May Podcast, Meyer reflected on his previous stint with FOX and how it compares to coaching:

“I really enjoyed that. I enjoyed celebrating those who play, celebrating those who coach it – it’s a great game. Not being the kind of ripping people to shreds but just celebrating this incredible game and most importantly, the players that do this game.”

Meyer left FOX to take the Jaguars head coaching position on Jan. 14, 2021. Meyer was fired on Dec. 16, going 2-11 in his only season as an NFL head coach.

For the 2021 college football season, Meyer was replaced by Bob Stoops on Big Noon Kickoff. Stoops will be coaching in the XFL in 2023, which presented a conflict with FOX’s involvement with the USFL.

FOX’s announcement teases that Meyer and the Big Noon Kickoff crew will be featured in a promo airing Saturday during FOX’s Baseball Night in America.
