Earlier this week, Colorado State announced that coach Mike Bobo — a former Georgia quarterback and assistant coach — had been admitted to the hospital after experiencing numbness in his feet.

Obviously, the health of the coach is more important than any game, but it sounds as if Bobo is keeping his nose to the grindstone, even while he’s at the hospital.

On Wednesday, Bobo tweeted a statement, thanking Colorado State fans for the support, as well as the support of the medical staff. He added that he’s continued to stay in contact with the staff and has been watching lots of film:

The Rams will open the season against Hawaii, but it remains unclear if Bobo will be on the sidelines or not.

It’s important that he recovers fully, as coaching is a stressful profession, but hopefully we’ll see him back sooner rather than later.
