Sterling Bailey has found a new home in the NFL as the Carolina Panthers have signed the former Georgia defensive lineman just over a week into the team’s training camp.

Bailey spent last season as an on-again, off-again member of the practice squad of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He did not see any action in the 2017 regular season for the team. During his short NFL career, Bailey has spent time with the Vikings, Seahawks and the Colts. Now that he’s a Panther, he’ll have yet another opportunity to finally earn his way onto the field for some regular season action heading into the 2018 season.

During his four years in Athens, Bailey registered 107 tackles, four tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks for the Bulldogs. Bailey went undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft.
