Georgia is in the process of putting together the No. 1 overall recruiting class for the 2024 cycle, and the Bulldogs picked up another in-state piece as of Wednesday night.

The player is Quintavius Johnson Jr., a defensive lineman out of Mays High School in Atlanta. Other SEC programs to offer Johnson include South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri and Ole Miss. He took an official visit to Athens on June 16 before arriving at his commitment.

Johnson is listed as a 6-foot-4 and 255-pound DL. Per the 247 Sports Composite, Johnson is a 3-star recruit, the 65th player out of Georgia and the No. 54 DL in the country.

Johnson joins a 2024 recruiting class for Georgia that holds the No. 1 overall spot per the 247 Sports Team Composite. That group includes 5-star QB Dylan Raiola and 8 current players from the state of Georgia following Raiola’s transfer to Buford High School.
