After winning a national championship at Georgia, Latavious Brini will play his final season of college football elsewhere.

Brini tweeted Thursday that he is entering the NCAA transfer portal to complete his “lost year of eligibility elsewhere.”

From the Miami area, Brini was a 3-star recruit in the class of 2017. Brini’s UGA bio shows he played in 30 games over the last 4 seasons. The NCAA’s COVID waiver for the 2020 season allows Brini to suit up for a fifth season of college football.

Brini posted career highs of 38 tackles and 8 passes defended in 2021. In his career, Brini posted 50 total tackles, including 6 for loss, and 10 passes defended, including an interception.

Brini received his undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Science this fall.
