But there’s no quit in Max Duggan and the Horned Frogs. They are always within striking distance in the fourth quarter, which has led to some thrilling games throughout the 2022 season.

So who and what are we betting on during the title game on Monday night? Here’s a look at our 4 best bets for the CFP championship game in Los Angeles (odds via the DraftKings Sportsbook):

Stetson Bennett: over 279.5 passing yards (-115)

The Georgia quarterback is at his best in the Playoff. Against Ohio State in the Peach Bowl, he threw for a whopping 398 yards. Last year in the semifinals against Michigan, he torched the Wolverines for 313 passing yards.

TCU only ranks No. 92 in the nation in pass defense. The Horned Frogs only allow 243.2 passing yards per game, but Georgia has the No. 15 passing offense in the FBS.

We’ll get to this later, but I expect this to be a high-scoring game, so betting Bennett to have at least 280 passing yards is easy money, in my opinion.

Total points: over 63 (-110)

I expect both teams to at least hit the 30-point mark in this game. Georgia has only failed to reach 30 points 3 times this season. TCU has also only been held under 30 points 3 times.

These are 2 high-powered offenses led by Heisman-finalist quarterbacks. There’s NFL talent all over these rosters. Additionally, both defenses are capable of putting points on the board.

I have Georgia winning the game, but based on the Bulldogs’ recent defensive struggles against LSU and Ohio State, expect the over to hit comfortably. I’d bet the over even if it was set at 70 total points.

Adjusted spread: TCU +14.5 (-140)

TCU beat Michigan. Michigan crushed Ohio State in Columbus. Georgia only beat Ohio State by 1 point. I expect Georgia to win the national title, but if you can modify the line to TCU +14.5, it’s well worth the money. This game is going to be within 2 touchdowns.

Even if Georgia goes up 3 scores early, the Horned Frogs have shown that they can at least make things interesting in the fourth quarter of every game. Expect the same on Monday night. Getting the hook with +14.5 is well worth the money.

Team points: TCU over 24.5 points (-115)

As mentioned above, I expect this to be a very high-scoring game, as the semifinals were. Thus, I’d be pretty surprised if both teams didn’t hit the 30-point mark. At the very least, I expect the Horned Frogs to put up 27-28 points.

Max Duggan is as clutch as they come. So is Stetson Bennett. Those guys are going to will their teams into the end zone on multiple occasions on Monday night. Bet the over on TCU’s points and cash it out comfortably, even with Georgia ahead on the scoreboard.

It should be an exciting matchup in Los Angeles with the CFP title on the line. Tune in to ESPN’s family of networks at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time for kickoff.
