Greg McElroy had rave reviews for Carson Beck after Georgia dismantled Kentucky, 51-13, to improve to 6-0.

Beck completed 28 of his 35 pass attempts for 389 yards and 4 touchdowns, both career highs. He connected with Brock Bowers 7 times for 132 yards and a score. Saturday marked Beck’s 3rd-straight game passing for more than 300 yards as he has settled in as Georgia’s starting quarterback, having thrown 11 touchdowns on the season versus just 3 interceptions.

That bodes well for the Bulldogs as they take on Vanderbilt in Week 7, their final game before the open week and before facing Florida in the Cocktail Party on Oct. 28.

“Guys, I’m telling you, Carson Beck is legit,” McElroy, who called the Georgia-Kentucky game with Sean McDonough and Molly McGrath, said on his “Always College Football” podcast. “He’s really good. We know Brock Bowers is really good. But Carson Beck is a dude. He is very accurate. He has great ball placement. He has a big arm. He’s got everything you could possibly want when evaluating the quarterback spot. He’s got a very bright future and a very bright present given what he’s doing right now.”
