The Falcons are going about building their roster in a way that most Southeastern Conference fans should appreciate.

Looking for help at the tight end position this week, Atlanta traded second- and fifth-round draft picks to Baltimore for former South Carolina Gamecock Hayden Hurst and a fourth-round pick this week. Hurst was a first-round selection by the Ravens in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Following that move, Atlanta landed former Florida Gator Dante Fowler in free agency by agreeing to a three-year, $48 million deal.

Next came the move Georgia fans were hoping for as the Falcons landed free agent running back Todd Gurley after he was released by the Los Angeles Rams.

Three moves, three former SEC standouts now suiting up for the Falcons.

To celebrate the move, the team issued the following tweet, with the caption, “It just means more.”
