Georgia lost its homecoming game against Vanderbilt, 17-16, at Sanford Stadium in Week 7, despite leading nearly every team statistic.

The Bulldogs outgained the Commodores, 421-171, in total yards, committed zero turnovers and had a 10:08 advantage in time of possession. However, Georgia was held to a 6 of 17 third down efficiency and scored only one touchdown, despite several red zone trips.

Jacob Eason threw for 346 yards and a touchdown on 27 of 40 passing. Georgia’s running backs were held to 75 yards on 35 rushing attempts.
