Though freshman QB Jake Fromm has been impressive since taking over for injured sophomore QB Jacob Eason the past few weeks, the Georgia Bulldogs will still have a difficult decision to make when Eason is back to full health.

And, according to comments made at Monday’s press conference, that decision won’t be made until it absolutely has to.

According to Macon.com, coach Kirby Smart wouldn’t name a starter for this weekend’s game against Vanderbilt, but did say that Eason is getting closer to full strength after suffering a knee injury in Week 1:

“I do think Jacob is closer to 100 percent,” Smart said.

Eason saw some limited action late in Saturday’s 41-0 win over Tennessee, but he only attempted one pass.

Fromm, on the other hand, threw for one touchdown and added two more scores on the ground.

It would seem to be Fromm’s team until further notice, but Smart has a nice backup plan in Eason should the freshman struggle.
