Jermaine Burton, a veteran wide receiver at Georgia who entered the transfer portal, has announced his new program.

The sophomore will transfer to Alabama, as Burton shared a highlight video on social media that ended with an Alabama logo, and he added the #RTR hashtag.

Burton for Georgia this past season made 26 catches for 497 yards in 2021, which ranked as the team’s 2nd-leading receiver in yardage. His 5 receiving touchdowns were tied with Ladd McConkey for 2nd-most on the team, well behind Brock Bowers’ 13 scoring grabs.

In 2020, Burton made 27 catches for 404 yards and 3 touchdowns as a true freshman, with his receptions and yardage output ranking 3rd on the team.

Burton, a former 4-star recruit from Calabasas, California, had his lone catch in Orange Bowl win went go a 57-yard TD. Burton made 2 catches for 28 yards in CFP Championship Game, including an 18-yarder to start the Bulldogs’ go-ahead TD drive in fourth quarter.
