After 2 seasons at Georgia, Josh Taylor is headed to East Tennessee State. The Atlanta area native announced the news on his Instagram account Friday.

Taylor made 10 appearances for the Bulldogs in the 2021-22 season. After seeing action in 3 of UGA’s 13 non-conference contests and averaging 2.3 minutes per game, Taylor played in 7 of the Dawgs’ 18 SEC games and doubled his playing time to 4.6 mpg, finishing with an average of 3.9 mpg for the season. In those appearances, he averaged 1.1 points and 0.7 rebounds per outing.

Out of Norcross High School, Taylor was a 3-star recruit in the class of 2020. According to 247Sports, Taylor also had scholarship offers from LSU, Georgia Tech, Houston, Texas Tech, TCU and St. John’s. As a freshman, Taylor appeared in 7 games, averaging 0.3 points and 1.6 boards over 2.7 minutes per outing.

The 6-9, 215-pound forward has up to 3 seasons of eligibility remaining with the NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver for the 2020-21 season.
