Kirby Smart had some interesting remarks regarding being a national championship favorite.

The Georgia head coach laughed off the question about being the betting favorite to win the national championship despite losing so many players to the transfer portal and to the NFL.

“I really don’t trust the source,” Smart said, reported by DawgNation. “I don’t care.”

Smart was then told the odds were by Circa Sports, and Smart replied, “I don’t even know what that is.”

Smart has made it clear he doesn’t care what his label is, he is focused on winning each game at hand rather than focusing on the future.

Though he might not care, Smart’s team’s status as the betting favorite says a lot about the team. Despite all the offseason losses, Georgia came back just as strong — if not stronger.

The Bulldogs are off to an undefeated start and appear to be immortal at this point. They’ll look to continue their success on Saturday against Vanderbilt.
