Kirby Smart’s Georgia Bulldogs hammered rival Florida 42-20 to give the Gators their second-worst start in SEC play in history at 1-4.

Georgia racked up 555 yards of total offense, including 316 of them through the air. Stetson Bennett connected on 19-of-38 for 316 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also threw 2 INTs.

Running back Daijun Edwards carried 12 times for 106 yards and 2 touchdowns. Kenny McIntosh also added 2 rushing touchdowns.

Tight end Brock Bowers caught 5 passes for a career-high 154 yards and 1 touchdown.

Following the win over Florida, CBS Sports spoke with Smart on the field, and he dedicated the win to Vince Dooley.

On dedicating the win to Vince Dooley …

“This win goes to Coach Dooley,” Smart said after the game. “He would have been so proud of our first half. He might not have been proud of our second half, but Coach Dooley has meant so much to this university. His family has meant so much to us and all the people in Athens. This win is for him.

On Brock Bowers …

“He does it everyday. Competitive excellence, we call it. He’s got it, and you can’t get him to say a word. So, good luck.”
