Kirby Smart was pleased, but said there’s more work to do in the 2nd half if the Bulldogs will extend their winning streak to 25 games.

The Georgia coach spoke with Jenny Dell of CBS Sports at halftime as the Bulldogs led the Gators 26-7.

“We’ve got a whole half to play,” he said. “They’ve got a potent offense, lot of dangerous shots, we’ve got to control the running game a little better and we’ve got to protect the ball on offense and control the tempo there.”

Smart also shared his message to Xavier Truss after Truss committed a penalty in the first half. Truss, Georgia’s right tackle, got into a tussle with Florida’s Princely Umanmielen who threw a punch, but both Umanmielen and Xavier Truss were flagged for off-setting personal foul penalties.

“We’ve got a mission, and then we’ve got team, and then we’ve got me. The mission over team, over me,” Smart said. “He put himself before the mission and the team.”
