Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are trailing at halftime for the first time all season.

Alabama holds a 24-17 lead at the intermission of the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta, and Alabama QB Bryce Young is having himself a day. Young has thrown for 2 touchdowns and run for another in the first half.

When asked at halftime by CBS Sports reporter Jamie Erdahl what was causing Georgia’s defense to struggle, Smart had a simple answer:

“Well, Bryce Young is,” he said. “Bryce Young is doing a great job. He’s making plays with his feet. We’re struggling to cover their receivers. We’re not getting pressure.”

Can the Bulldogs turn things around in the second half? Alabama will get the ball first in the third quarter with a chance to take a commanding 2-score lead.
