LOOK: Georgia legend Loran Smith back at practice, could resume broadcasting following bye week
A couple of weeks ago, legendary Georgia media personality Loran Smith had to have hip surgery after a couple of players collided with him at practice.
That caused the longtime sideline reporter and pregame show co-host to miss last week’s LSU game, but now he’s back at practice.
As you can see below, the 80-year-old was back at the team’s facility on Tuesday afternoon:

In more good news, it was reported that Smith would be making the trip to Florida, though it’s unknown if he’ll resume his broadcasting responsibilities at that time:
Georgia fans looking for some good news: Loran Smith, back here at the football facility, says he'll be making the trip to Florida. He missed the LSU game after needing hip surgery, following a collision at Georgia practice last week.

For now, though, the news on his recovery is good and we wish him the best as he continues to rehab his injuries.
