Mecole Hardman took his nickname of “Jet” to a new level on Super Bowl Sunday, arriving to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida sporting a full Navy pilot uniform.

The official Twitter account for U.S. Naval Air Forces acknowledged Hardman.

Hardman’s Kansas City Chiefs are 1-point favorites over the San Francisco 49ers at most sportsbooks. The rookie out of Georgia is even getting some longshot Super Bowl MVP odds. Hardman’s former coach, Kirby Smart, sent the super speedster a message prior to the game.

“Hey, Mecole. This is coach Smart,” Smart said. “Sitting out here on the practice field of the Elbert County Blue Devils. See my helicopter there in the background. Here to recruit and proud as hell of you, and the whole state of Georgia, Bulldog Nation, is pulling for you and the Chiefs. Go Dawgs. We love you.”

In the regular season, Hardman caught 26 passes for 538 yards and 6 touchdowns. He was named to the Pro Bowl as a return man. Hardman logged 27 returns for 704 yards and a touchdown. In the AFC Divisional clash against the Houston Texans, Hardman had a key 52-yard kickoff that aided a Chiefs comeback.
