Paul Finebaum was impressed by Georgia’s dominant 52-17 win over Ole Miss on Saturday night in Athens. He thinks the College Football Playoff Selection Committee will be impressed, too.

In his updated top-4 rankings, Finebaum has Georgia at No. 1, though the CFP committee still has Ohio State at No. 1. Will that change on Tuesday night?

Finebaum appeared on SportsCenter on Sunday morning to discuss the Bulldogs, saying he’s been impressed by how the Dawgs rise to the occasion in big games:

“Can we all raise our hands and give it to the Georgia Bulldogs?” Finebaum said. “Ohio State, while looking good, I don’t think quite yet is in Georgia’s league. To me Georgia was so good last night. Georgia plays its best in the big games. They did it against Kentucky. They’ve done it a couple of other times this year. They did it last week against Missouri and they did it last night. They have to go to Tennessee next week, which looks like a weird game.”

Georgia locked up its spot in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday, but you know coach Kirby Smart will keep his team motivated moving forward. A Playoff spot is within reach, and the Dawgs want to get to the final 4 to get a chance to win a third-straight national title.
