The Georgia recruiting staff got a big shakeup on Tuesday, as it was reported that one staffer had been fired and another suspended.
Per a report from DawgNation.com, the team’s recruiting program coordinator was fired and the director of on-campus recruiting was suspended for 30 days without pay:
Dacia King, who is listed as the Bulldogs’ recruiting program coordinator on the team’s website, was dismissed. Lukman Abdulai, who is director of on-campus recruiting, has been placed on a 30-day suspension without pay.
AD Greg McGarity didn’t provide any additional information about why the disciplinary actions were taken:
“I’m not talking about any personnel stuff,” McGarity said. “Regardless of what the position is, I just don’t comment on personnel decisions or matters. Sorry.”
Georgia now has two important recruiting positions to fill as the 2020 recruiting cycle rages on.
