Rising sophomore Rodrigo Blankenship has seemingly locked down the Georgia kicker position for the next three years, so it should come as no surprise that others in the unit are deciding whether or not to move on.

Former preferred walk-on K Mitchell Wasson, who chose Georgia over Alabama last year, has said he’ll transfer to pursue playing time at another school, according to Macon.com.

Wasson redshirted in 2016 and will have to sit out a year if he transfers to a new Division I school, but he’ll have four years of eligibility remaining with his new team.

Wasson has yet to announce his transfer destination, according to the report.
