Super Bowl rosters are not yet set, but the SEC can already lay claim to an impressive streak by a pair of teams.

No matter the results this weekend in the respective conference championship matchups, LSU and Georgia will have a player in the Super Bowl for the 23rd straight season. That is a streak not seen since Nebraska 4 years ago had its impressive run end in 2020 after 26 years.

Kansas City will travel to Baltimore this week, while Detroit will meet San Francisco to determine the Super Bowl matchup ahead of the game in Las Vegas on Feb. 11 on CBS.

Georgia’s Mecole Hardman and Malik Herring are with the Chiefs, while the Ravens have Georgia OL Ben Cleveland, Georgia LB Roquan Smith, LSU WR Odell Beckham, and LSU LB Patrick Queen. Ole Miss LB Tavius Robinson is also with the Ravens.

The Chiefs have LB Nick Bolton and QB Blaine Gabbert from Missouri, S Mike Edwards from Kentucky, RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Neil Farrell from LSU, LB Willie Gay and DL Chris Jones from Mississippi State, Florida RB La’Mical Perine, WR Kadarius Toney, P Tommy Townsend and OL Jawaan Taylor and OL Trey Smith from Tennessee.

Other SEC players for the Ravens are South Carolina DL Jadaveon Clowney, Alabama CB Marlon Humphrey, Texas A&M DL Justin Madubuike and Florida LB Jeremiah Moon.

The Detroit Lions have SEC players in LB Alex Anzalone of Florida, DB Brian Branch of Alabama along with WR Jameson Williams of Alabama, DB CJ Gardner-Johnson of Florida, Alabama RB Jahmyr Gibbs, Missouri DL Charles Harris, Tennessee QB Hendon Hooker and CB Cameron Sutton, DL Benito Jones of Ole Miss, Kentucky DL Josh Paschal, Arkansas OLs Frank Ragnow and Dan Skipper, Tennessee LB Jalen Reeves-Maybin, Josh Reynolds, a Texas A&M WR.
