Former Kentucky QB Freddie Maggard joining Wildcats support staff
Kentucky coach Mark Stoops continues to add to his off-field staff.
Days after hiring EK Franks to the recruiting staff, Stoops has reportedly made another support staff hire. Kentucky Sports Radio broke the news that KSR football writer and former UK quarterback Freddie Maggard is joining the Wildcats staff as Director of Player Development. Maggard’s role with UK will be “helping UK players with life off the field, both while they are in college and beyond,” per KSR’s Matt Jones. Finding internships, jobs after football and building career skills are some of the tasks that fall under Maggard’s responsibilities.
Maggard played at Kentucky from 1988-91.
On a personal level, there is not a better human being than @FredMaggard. I am lucky to have gotten to know him over the last few years. He is a great football mind but a better friend
Congrats Freddie! I know you will crush it for UK Football
