When the Kentucky Wildcats signed their 2018 recruiting class, there was a noticeable absence of in-state talent.

In fact, the Wildcats failed to sign a single player from the state of Kentucky, but now they have a talented player from the Bluegrass State.

That’s because, on Monday, the Wildcats got a commitment from in-state QB Kolbe Langhi, a 6-6 lefty. Langhi announced his decision on Twitter on Monday night:

Langhi will join the Cats as a preferred walk-on, where the 3-star quarterback will compete for the now-open starting job.

Whether the Wildcats add any additional in-state walk-ons remains to be seen, but this was a good get for coach Mark Stoops and his staff.
