Kentucky OL Drake Jackson honoring coach John Schlarman, who is battling cancer
Kentucky was without OL coach John Schlarman at Mizzou last weekend, and it appears he is not attending Saturday’s home game vs. Georgia, either.
Schlarman has been battling cancer, and he has the full support of the Kentucky program and his players.
As you can see below, Kentucky center Drake Jackson will honor Schlarman — a former Kentucky lineman himself — by wearing No. 65 in honor of his coach:

That’s a classy tribute from Jackson, who has become one of the top linemen in the SEC under Schlarman’s tutelage.
Hopefully Schlarman is able to attend more games this year, as he is clearly very popular with his players and the staff.
