Kentucky added a major piece to its 2024 recruiting class on Wednesday.

The Wildcats landed a commitment from 3-star athlete Jiquavious Marshall. A Georgia native, Marshall chose Kentucky over programs such as Florida State, Pitt, West Virginia and Georgia Tech, amongst others.

Here’s his announcement:

Marshall is the No. 623 overall player and the No. 57 athlete in the country for the class of 2024, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 80 player from the state of Georgia.

Although he’s listed as an athlete, Kentucky seemingly projects him as a defensive back. His primary recruiter is Kentucky DB coach Chris Collins.

Marshall attends Westside High School in Macon, Georgia. He’s listed at 6-foot-4, 185 pounds.

Kentucky now has 8 commits in the class of 2024. Marshall is currently Kentucky’s highest-ranked defensive prospect. The group ranks No. 52 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Here are some highlights from his junior season of high school:
