The Big Blue Wall has a new member on the way.

Kiyaunta Goodwin, a 6-foot-7, 300-pounder out of Charlestown, Indiana announced his pledge to Kentucky, which beat out finalists Alabama, Clemson, Michigan State and Ohio State, per 247Sports/CBS Sports HQ. He is rated the No. 7 offensive tackle of this class, and the No. 2 player in Indiana. Overall, he is the No. 54 player in the Class of 2022 by the 247Sports Composite. He is a 4-star offensive tackle with an eye-popping 63 offers.

“I’ve been around the process for a very long time,” Goodwin told Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports. Even though there was an early offer from the Wildcats, that didn’t mean as much as the way they recruited him and have shown on the field.

“I know a lot of people might think that really helped them,” Goodwin said. “It’s just more of me finding the right fit for me and the right place for me. It was cool to say they offered me first but after doing all the research and feeling comfortable, even if they offered me the most recent I’d probably still be going to Kentucky.”

Goodwin is commit No. 8 for the Wildcats in the 2022 cycle and he propelled the class nine spots to No. 15 in the 247Sports Composite Team Recruiting Rankings.

“I love that they treat you like family and I love the offensive line,” Goodwin said. “I had a good relationship with Coach (John) Schlarman before he passed and I’m building a good relationship with Coach (Eric) Wolford now. I have a great relationship with Coach (Vince) Marrow.”
