Early on Sunday, the Kentucky Wildcats lost a commitment from 2019 4-star DB Keontra Smith, who flipped to Miami.

However, on Sunday afternoon, the Wildcats added a new defensive back to their 2019 class — 3-star South Carolina native Jalen Geiger.

Geiger announced his decision on Twitter on Sunday afternoon, sending a special Mother’s Day message to his mom in the process:

According to 247Sports, Geiger is the No. 140 cornerback in the class of 2019 and the No. 13 overall prospect from the state of South Carolina.

Kentucky’s 2019 class now has four members. Prior to Geiger’s commitment, the Wildcats’ class ranked No. 11 in the SEC and No. 49 nationally, per 247Sports.
