It was unclear until recently whether the popular Champions Classic showcase would be held in 2020 or not, as the college basketball season was recently scheduled to start on Nov. 25.

However, it appears the games, which annually feature Kentucky, Kansas, Michigan State and Duke, are expected to take place, and a target date has been set.

Per college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, the plan is to try to play the games on Dec. 1 in Orlando:

That Orlando location is likely to be where the NBA bubble is located. The NBA will have its season wrapped up soon, so the facilities should be available.

This year, Kentucky will face Kansas and Duke will take on Michigan State. Kentucky already had a game scheduled for Dec. 1, though, against Georgia Tech. However, per Rothstein, that matchup has been moved to Dec. 6:

The NBA bubble is the proposed site for a number of preseason tournaments and showcases. We’ll see how many end up playing there.
